Aviation services provider ExecuJet will expand its brand into India. The Switzerland-based company's partnership with The Bird Group has succeeded in a bid to establish a new FBO/MRO facility at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. “This is a significant win for ExecuJet, as we have had India on our radar for many years,” said Mike Berry, vice president of ExecuJet Middle East. “The airport has awarded only two licenses to consolidate and improve its FBO and MRO services.”
The new facility, which will use FBO 1 management software, will be run as a joint venture under the ExecuJet banner starting in the second quarter of the year. “We are delighted to be partnering with The Bird Group,” said ExecuJet CEO Gerrit Basson. “Headquartered in New Delhi, with 40 years of experience in India and expertise in aviation services, it is the perfect partner for this expansion program.” The location’s staff, which will eventually number more than 60, is currently training at the company’s Dubai location.
