G450/550 Production Cut as Gulfstream Moves to G500/600
Shipments of “green” Gulfstreams will decrease by about 6 percent this year, though revenues are expected to climb thanks to a better mix.
Gulfstream adjusted G550 production downward in the fourth quarter and will follow suit for the G450 this quarter at its plant in Savannah, Ga., as the company transitions to the new G500 and G600, which are expected to enter service in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Production of its midsize G280 and wide-cabin G650/650ER, however, will rise this year. (Photo: Gulfstream Aerospace)
