NetJets has added the first of two demonstrator Cessna Citation Latitudes into its fleet. The midsize business jet will be promoted throughout the U.S. ahead of deliveries of fractional-owned NetJets Signature Series Latitudes beginning in June. NetJets also plans to add a second Latitude demonstrator in Europe later this year.

The fractional provider will begin the Latitude demonstrations in the U.S. this week with a static planned at Chicago Palwaukee Airport on January 29, followed by displays at Naples (Fla.) Municipal Airport on January 31 and Vero Beach (Fla.) Airport on February 4. More tour dates and locations will be announced soon.

NetJets placed an order in 2012 for 25 Latitudes with options for up to 125 more. These were among a series of orders for new aircraft that NetJets had placed as part of a 10-year plan to streamline and refresh its fleet with as many as 700 new aircraft valued at $17.6 billion.

As with all the new types in its fleet, the Latitudes will be customized to NetJets Signature Series specifics and will be equipped with features such as an expanded refreshment center and the NetJets 360 Connectivity package with Wi-Fi, text and talk and in-flight entertainment system.

For Cessna, the introduction of the Latitude into the NetJets fleet continues on a more than 20-year relationship between the Wichita manufacturer and the Berkshire Hathaway-owned fractional aircraft provider.
