London Biggin Hill Enhances FBO Terminal
London Biggin Hill describes itself as “the only dedicated business aviation airport in London.”

London Biggin Hill Airport unveiled a “complete refurbishment” of its passenger terminal, and introduced the FBO One aircraft handling system. The airport also named Sally Powell its new FBO manager. Powell, who has been with the airport for several years, reports to business development director Robert Walters. Meanwhile Kevin Berry has been appointed deputy FBO manager.

The refurbishment includes the addition of several discrete passenger areas and a new dedicated pilot lounge. “High-quality, modern furnishings and lighting have been installed to provide a complete transformation of the facility,” said Walters.

Meanwhile, the airport, which has a cooperation agreement with New Jersey's Teterboro Airport, is seeking input to an airspace change proposal that would see instrument approach procedures established for Runway 03. At present, the only straight-in approach is the Runway 21 ILS, and if Runway 03 is in use then pilots must execute a circling maneuver to land.
