Aloft AeroArchitects, formerly PATS Aircraft Systems, announced the award of a five-year contract with Boeing Commercial Airplanes to be the exclusive supplier of auxiliary fuel systems (AFS) for the forthcoming BBJ Max, scheduled for its inaugural flight next year. The two companies have also extended the term of Aloft’s existing contract as exclusive ASF provider for Next-Generation Boeing 737s.
ASFs can extend the range of the aircraft by up to 50 percent, according to Delaware-based Aloft (Booth C7037), Boeing’s and BBJ’s exclusive ASF provider since 1998. “Both parties have toiled long and hard to ensure that this is a partnership that truly works,” said Aloft president and CEO John Martin. “Our high supplier ratings for both Aloft’s PATS auxiliary fuel systems and Hollingsead International racks, trays and extractor products is validation of our commitment to excellence.”
