Sierra Nevada Corp. Opens Completions Facility
Hangar at Colorado Springs can accommodate BBJ/ACJ-sized aircraft.

Sierra Completions (Booth N1735), a subsidiary of the Sierra Nevada Corp. (SNC), has completed construction of its new 31,000-sq-ft hangar at Colorado Springs Airport. From January 2016, the new hangar will serve as a modification facility for interior completions and can handle BBJs and ACJs.

Located in an area known as the Colorado Aerospace Park, the facility will include back shops, offices, storage facilities and a fire-suppression system. The facility is expected to employ about 150 once fully operational.

“This is the first step in establishing a presence for Sierra Completions at the Colorado Springs Airport and provides us with a facility to launch the business,” said Ed Topps, vice president of programs for Sierra Completions. He added that the company is in “active discussions with a number of customers already” about performing completions at the facility.
