Jet Aviation St. Louis Gets STC for CL604 Fans 1/A
Fans 1/A upgrade can be done “with minimal downtime and cost,” during either a scheduled or nonscheduled maintenance event.

Jet Aviation St. Louis on Friday received FAA STC approval of a Rockwell Collins Fans 1/A solution for the Bombardier Challenger 604. The two companies said they teamed up to leverage their combined experience and expertise on the Challenger 604 airframe.

The Fans 1/A upgrade package, which includes the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract (ADC-C) and controller pilot datalink communication (CPDLC), “will reduce pilot workload and significantly enhance the clarity and accuracy of pilot communications with air navigation service providers in oceanic and remote airspace worldwide,” Jet Aviation said. Equipped aircraft also can use preferred wind-efficient transatlantic routes to save both time and fuel.

Blake Hogge, senior manager of avionics sales at Jet Aviation St. Louis, said the Fans 1/A upgrade can be done at his shop, “with minimal downtime and cost,” during either a scheduled or nonscheduled maintenance event.
