Last month, Wipaire unveiled its new Aurora luxury interior for the Cessna Caravan series. The company has devised a high-quality interior scheme with executive fittings, cabinets and divans that turn the utility turboprop single into a highly comfortable form of transport. The company claims that its interiors offer weight-savings over comparable products.
Wipaire has undertaken numerous bespoke executive interior installations for Caravans, but with the Aurora scheme, it offers standard floor plans for the first time. However, the arrangements can still be tailored to meet individual requirements, including color schemes and layout alterations.
Wipair has devised two standard Aurora floor plans for the Cessna 208 Caravan, comprising a full-capacity eight-seat arrangement and a six-seat configuration with a forward club-four. For the larger 208B Grand Caravan there are four floor plans available, all for eight passengers. One has standard full-capacity arrangement, while another has a forward-club configuration. Two aft-club arrangements are available: one with cabinets installed forward, and one with the cabinets amidships.
Based at Fleming Field, St. Paul, Minnesota, Wipaire has established itself as a float manufacturer, as well as providing a wide variety of aircraft modification, sales, brokerage and training services. The company has operated an interiors shop for more than 20 years, designing, producing and installing custom interior conversions and repairs. Last year the facility was expanded, adding a full cabinet shop, complete with a CNC cutter to ensure highly accurate fitting of components.
