FSI To Build Fusion-Equipped King Air 350 Simulator
The simulator is expected to be ready shortly after certification is planned for the newly upgraded King Air 350.

FlightSafety International is building a new Beechcraft King Air 350 simulator that will be equipped with the upgraded Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion cockpit. The FS1000 level-D simulator will be stationed at FlightSafety’s facility in Atlanta, Ga., and is scheduled to enter service in early 2016.

The simulator is expected to be available shortly after the new Fusion avionics suite on the 350 is slated for certification later this year. Textron Aviation announced the certification of the Fusion-equipped King Air 250 last month during EAA’s AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wis. The 350 is next up in the certification plan, with the C90Tx following in the first half of 2016. Textron Aviation announced in May that the Fusion would be standard on new-production King Airs.

The 350 simulator will be equipped with a multifunction instructor operator station, FlighSafety’s Vital 1100 visual system and electric motion control and cueing. FlightSafety additionally will offer King Air 350 operators its new Operational DayFlow training, which takes a customized training approach that presents critical procedures and task according to phase of flight.
