Longtime St. Louis Downtown Airport (KCPS) service provider Ideal Aviation became the latest facility to join the Paragon Network of independent FBOs. Ideal Aviation, which formally joined August 1, is the 22nd FBO to join the Paragon Network spanning across the continental U.S., the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. The Paragon Network is part of the Paragon Aviation Group.

"When I acquired Ideal Aviation in 2011, my goal was to take an established FBO into the rest of the 21st century," said Ideal owner Bill Macon. "The Paragon Network’s advanced networking solutions will assist us in accelerating the process."

Located five minutes from the St. Louis Arch, Ideal Aviation’s recently renovated facility offers heated hangar space, GPU service, and wireless Internet coverage. Passengers and crew may also take advantage of concierge services, a conference room, and a full-service restaurant and catering (including, as befitting its location, "world famous BBQ"). Opened in 1983, Ideal Aviation also offers engine and airframe maintenance, aircraft charter and rental options, and flight training. The FBO is a gateway facility under the DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP).
