TBM 900 Gets Off to Fast Start
The 900 model is proving to be the best seller in the TBM family with orders already reaching 100.

A little less than 18 months after Daher rolled it out, the TBM 900, the newest member of the TBM family, is the company's fastest seller, said Nicolas Chabbert, senior v-p of Daher’s airplane business unit and president its Socata North America subsidiary. Speaking to reporters during AirVenture in Oshkosh, Chabbert noted the company has sold 100 of the aircraft, including orders for 48 already taken this year.  Daher handed over 25 in the first half of this year, a record for the TBM program, and has delivered a total of 76. While the TBM program is now 25 years old, total deliveries of the family had doubled in the past eight years to top 700.

While sales expand, so too does Daher’s distribution network. The company added Flying Smart at Biggin Hill Airport near London as its authorized TBM distributor for the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands. The agreement, to take effect by the end of the year, includes an order for two TBM 900s that will be delivered in 2016.
