Jetdebit Launches Digital Jet Card with Fixed Fees
Jetdebit.com will charge charter clients a fixed service fee of 8 percent.

Jetdebit.com is launching a pre-paid jet card promising clients wholesale charter pricing with a flat 8-percent service fee. All aspects of payment processing will be handled online, and customers will be able to see and interact with all trip arrangements at their own travel profile page.

The Manassas, Va.-based start-up company has signed an initial five operators based in the mid-Atlantic region and intends to have 100 involved in the program by November this year. Founder and CEO Jacquie Dalton told AIN that Jetdebit provides greater pricing transparency for both clients and operators, with the latter no longer in the dark about broker mark-up rates. She claimed that broker fees are typically 16 to 18 percent of the charter cost.

Travelers can join the program at four levels: $85,000, $175,000, $245,000 and $310,000. The 8-percent service fee is deducted in full from these amounts when the deposit is made. The balance remains fully refundable at any time without penalty and clients have to replenish only the amount on deposit when they have insufficient funds in their account to cover a trip.
