ArincDirect Phasing Out Support for Older FOS Versions
A new version of FOS is being released this month, and sometime this year ArincDirect will halt support for versions earlier than 3.11.

In a letter to customers, Rockwell Collins’s ArincDirect FOS flight operations software business announced the phaseout of support for some older versions of FOS. Version 3.11 of FOS is being released this month, according to the letter, which added, “The exact support end date has not yet been determined; however, we do anticipate it to be during the 2015 calendar year.” The versions of FOS affected include all versions before 3.10 as well as Crystal 8.5 and all airport data and updates for FOS versions earlier than 3.10, ArincDirect FOS wrote. “This transition is, in part, due to our vendors ceasing support of the products listed above, as well as Microsoft’s phase-out of support for Windows Server 2003, effective July 14, 2015.” While users can still use older versions of FOS and Windows Server, the company explained, “all future FOS releases will be designed to be used with newer interfaces.”
