Constant Aviation Installs Venue System in Legacy 600
The company has several other such installations scheduled for later this year.

Constant Aviation recently completed installation of a Rockwell Collins Venue cabin management system in an Embraer Legacy 600. It was part of a complete interior refurbishment, avionics upgrade and large maintenance inspection for the super-midsize jet.

The Venue system, which works with other audio and video solutions, in the Legacy 600 installation includes two new HD monitors, system galley control, touchscreen controls at every seat along with a Blu-ray player and several auxiliary inputs. According to Rizzo, the current Legacy 600 entertainment systems are analog and increasingly difficult to expand or connect to new digital equipment. “We have several other Legacy customers in line for this new system during their large maintenance events scheduled for later this year,” said Constant Aviation vice president of sales Jay Rizzo.

“We worked with Rockwell Collins to tailor a solution for this customer, as well as future Legacy customers. Together, Constant Aviation and Rockwell Collins collaborated to design a standard seating configuration software package for Constant Aviation. This provides our customers with a fixed cost and baseline, all-digital system that can be expanded as desired when installed on the Legacy 600," said Rizzo. "Since most Legacys have similar seating arrangements, this system reduces costs, lead-times and provides an exceptional value.”
