The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is launching a new arm to offer regulatory and operational consulting services. The new arm, NATA Aviation Solutions, will provide expertise on certificate consolidations and approvals, operational approvals, safety optimization, local FAA office assistance, tax issues, aviation-related manuals and maintenance and repair and overhaul issues, among others. The new consulting services will be spearheaded by John McGraw, the former deputy director of FAA’s Flight Standards Service and current director of regulatory affairs for NATA as well as president of John McGraw Aerospace Consulting.
NATA president and CEO Tom Hendricks notes the association has long worked on issues that involve national policy and affect members across the business aviation sector. “There are, however, regulatory issues that are very narrow in scope and pertain much more directly to an individual business, the solutions to which are critical to its success,” Hendricks said, adding that NATA Aviation Solutions is designed to help businesses with those individual situations.
