The FAA approved Jet Aviation Singapore’s new interior shop, allowing the facility to certify refurbished interior components or entire cabin interiors. It also doubled the size of its team of interior craftsmen to meet demand for cabin interior refurbishment services.
Jet Aviation Singapore is currently working on a Challenger 605 and GIV to complete a full cabinetry and veneer refurbishment and a cabin interior upgrade, respectively. Last year, Jet Aviation Singapore performed a range of retrofit, modification and upgrade services on various aircraft, including full interior refurbishment of a GIV and retrofitting of interior components on two private 747s.
“Owners of business jets take great pride in the pristine condition of their aircraft, particularly in this region, and this extends to cabin interiors. We have experienced rising demand from the maturing fleet of long-range, large-cabin aircraft that are based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. We also expect to receive certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) later this year, which will further support our customers,” said John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore.
Jet Aviation Singapore’s interior shop offers upholstery, wood and veneer finishing and carpeting. The facility includes a new 645-sq-ft eco-friendly spray-painting and buffing shop. The company collaborates with Hawker Pacific to offer a full repaint and interior package on aircraft up to the size of the G650 and Globals.
