Sun Valley Airport Will Close for a Month
The airport will shut down from April 26 through May 20

As the final stages of an airport reconfiguration project begin at Idaho’s Sun Valley airport (SUN), the airport will be shut down from 8 a.m. local time on April 26 until 12 p.m. local time on May 20. The shutdown, necessary to bring the airport into compliance with the Lautenberg Runway Safety Act, means Sun Valley’s only runway—13/31—will be closed to all air traffic. Alternate airports include Twin Falls (TWF), Boise (BOI) and Idaho Falls (IDA). Additional details related to the closure will be available on the airport’s website.
