NetJets Signature Series Fleet Gets New Gogo IFE
Gogo's inflight entertainment system will provide connectivity and entertainment options for NetJets passengers.

NetJets is installing a new in-flight entertainment (IFE) system throughout its fleet of Signature Series aircraft. The system, developed for the fractional ownership and charter provider by Gogo Business Aviation, will give passengers Internet access, the ability to make voice calls or text from their own cellphones and a wide selection of entertainment options.

Installation of the new IFE package has started on the latest Signature Series Embraer Phenom 300s. By the end of 2016, it is due to have been retrofitted to all NetJets Signature Series aircraft, including the Bombardier Challenger and Global and Cessna Citation Latitudes in its U.S. and European fleets. According to NetJets, the new IFE system will be the most comprehensive offering from a private aviation flight provider.

Separately, NetJets has donated $1 million to support Ohio State University’s Center for Aviation Studies. The money will support the creation of a chair of aviation modernization and designated professor of aviation, as well as contribute to ongoing research into NextGen air traffic management systems.
