Jet Aviation Gets EASA Nod for Tcas 7.1 Upgrade
Aircraft equipped with TCAS II version 7.0 software and operating in EU airspace have until December 1 to upgrade to version 7.1.

Jet Aviation Basel received EASA STC approval for is Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (Tcas II) version 7.1 upgrade. Aircraft equipped with Tcas II version 7.0 software and operating in EU airspace have until December 1 to upgrade to version 7.1.

The improvement corrects an issue with the Tcas reversal logic in the event that one of the alerted crews does not comply with a resolution advisory (RA) or initiates an opposite maneuver. In addition, it replaces “adjust vertical speed” RAs with a single “level off” RA.

Jet Aviation is offering the Tcas 7.1 STC upgrade alone or in combination with a full-service installation at any Jet Aviation facility. The upgrade can also be done in “any hangar of the customer’s choice worldwide.”
