Able Aero Touts PMA Tail-rotor Fan Shaft
Able Aerospace recently obtained FAA parts manufacturer approval for its tail-rotor fan shaft

Able Aerospace Services (Booth 3704) of Mesa, Ariz., is highlighting its recently FAA-approved tail rotor fan shaft for the Bell 407. The new shaft, approved under FAA parts manufacturer approval (PMA) regulations, is the industry’s only OEM alternative for this part, according to the company.

“Able strives to always be the best value alternative in the industry, and this latest PMA supports that mission,” said Greg Guidera, director of business development for Able Aerospace. “It allows us to add yet another superior FAA-approved solution to the Bell 407 supply chain.”

PMA and repair solutions have been driving growth of the two-year-old company. In fact, it recently announced plans for a 50,000-sq-ft expansion of its campus at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, in addition to hiring another 100 employees this year to bolster its workforce of 300. The Mesa city council and airport authority are expected to consider the expansion plans by early summer, and if approved a 2016 completion is anticipated.
