The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club (SBPRC) teamed with Gulfstream Aerospace for its largest annual polo tournament. The newly named Gulfstream Pacific Coast Open is scheduled August 12 to 30 at the California club.
The Pacific Coast Open has been held for more than a century with a British team the first to win the five-foot-tall Pacific Coast Open Trophy in 1910. The tournament attracts teams from around the world. SBPRC was founded in 1911.
"We are experiencing great growth of Santa Barbara Polo in 2015 and Gulfstream is a terrific sponsor for our biggest tournament," said John Muse, president of SBPRC. Idea Works in Dallas handles the SBPRC corporate sponsorship program.
