EBACE 2015 To Feature Unmanned Aircraft Zone
The UAS zone will provide a venue for exhibitors to do live demonstrations of their products in a 12m-by-12m netted pavilion.

Following the successful debut of an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) seminar at the NBAA Convention in October, this year’s EBACE—co-hosted in Geneva, Switzerland by NBAA and EBAA, May 19-21—will feature a dedicated zone for UAS demonstrations. In addition, an education session to be held at the show will focus on European Commission regulations for UASs, which are better known as “remotely piloted aircraft systems” in Europe.

"UASs bring new opportunities and challenges for businesses, and NBAA has long maintained that any introduction plan for UASs be thoughtful, deliberative and focused on safety," said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. "We hope a UAS demo zone, in addition to an informative education session, will help answer EBACE 2015 attendees’ questions as to the best use of these devices for their business, as well as demonstrate their versatility and potential value to companies around the world."

The UAS zone will provide a venue for exhibitors to do live demonstrations of their products in a 12m-by-12m netted pavilion. On May 19, Peter Van Blyenburgh, founder and president of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, will moderate a panel at the UAS zone in Hall 5 about the challenges and opportunities for UASs in business aviation. Panelists will include experts from the Sesar Joint Undertaking, Jarus, Thales, EASA and SenseFly.
