The Flight Safety Foundation, Eurocontrol and the European Regions Airline Association will be hosting an operational safety forum in Brussels on June 2 and 3 focused on automation. The forum will explore how the industry can balance the current safety benefits of automation with the challenges those technologies have created and will create in the future. Operators and air navigation service providers will also share automation and safety best practices.
Organizers are seeking papers of no longer than 2,500 words focused on the main topics for possible presentation during the conference. An abstract of the paper’s focus as well as the author’s résumé must be delivered to the forum’s coordinator by February 15.
