CenTex Installs Saddle Tank System on King Air 350
Tanks provide an additional 180 gallons of fuel for 90-series King Airs and 190 gallons for larger King Airs.
CenTex Aerospace saddle tanks for the larger King Airs provide room for an additional 190 gallons of fuel; for 90-series King Airs they add 180 gallons.

Waco, Texas-based CenTex Aerospace has completed installation of its saddle tank system on a King Air 350, for medevac provider Guardian Flight. Guardian Flight is the largest air medevac provider in Alaska, with seven bases statewide. The system “will allow Guardian Flight the operational flexibility required to operate to any remote locations throughout Alaska nonstop [and to provide] a higher level of medical care,” said Rick Wysowski, director of operations for the medevac provider.

The FAA recently approved the system for installation on the C90 and the larger 200- and 300-series King Airs. Originally approved for the A90-1 (U-21 King Air), the saddle tanks provide an additional 180 gallons of fuel for 90-series King Airs and 190 gallons for the larger King Airs. An optional “saddle tanks plus” configuration features a combination of fuel (120 gallons) and an integral storage bin that provides eight cu ft of lockable storage.
