Chad is the editor of AINalerts, AIN's daily business aviation newsletter, and is also the news editor at AIN Media Group.&nbsp;He has been writing about aviation, with an emphasis on business aviation, since 1994. Chad started his writing career at The Avion,&nbsp;the&nbsp;student newspaper at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, serving as editor-in-chief before graduating with a bachelor's in aeronautical science. After a stint as managing editor at Professional Pilot&nbsp;magazine, he joined&nbsp;AIN in late 1998. The New England Aquarium is asking aircraft operators to help transport stranded endangered sea turtles from the Cape Cod area to facilities in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Cold temperatures and strong onshore wind in the Northeast this week have stranded more than 150 sea turtles in Cape Cod and they are suffering from hypothermia. The aquarium is working to stabilize as many as possible but lacks resources to house the “unprecedented number” of stranded sea turtles. There is an “immediate need” to fly sea turtles to other facilities. <a href="mailto:Leslie@True-Lock.com?subject=Sea%20Turtle%20Transport">Leslie Weinstein</a>, president of aviation fastener supplier True Lock and Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research member, is coordinating volunteer aviation assets for the effort.
