Honeywell Aerospace has teamed with Deer Jet, the largest business aviation operator in Asia-Pacific, to offer in-country access, at an unspecified location, to maintenance service for Honeywell auxiliary power units. The partnership marks the first line maintenance service center in mainland China for Honeywell since the company entered the business and general aviation market in the country.
Chinese business aircraft operators will now be able to obtain service in China instead of either calling on an out-of-country mobile team or traveling out of country to areas such as Hong Kong or Singapore. The option saves fuel and reduces aircraft downtime, ultimately saving money.
In addition, the new maintenance service center will be able to provide auxiliary power unit service to international flights in transit.
