Williams, Rolls-Royce Tie for Best Bizjet Engine Support

In turbofan support, Rolls-Royce and Williams both scored 8.0 this year on a scale of zero (worst) to 10 (best). Honeywell took second place at 7.9, while CFE, GE and Pratt & Whitney Canada all tied for third at 7.6.

By individual turbofan, Honeywell’s HTF7000 series support remained top dog, with a rating of 8.1. The Rolls-Royce BR700 series, which ranked 10th last year with a score of 7.6, jumped to second this year with an 8.0 rating. Also scoring 8.0 and tying for second place were the Rolls-Royce Tay and the Williams FJ44.

Rankings this year for best support among the makers of turboprop engines for business aircraft were unchanged from a year ago. With a score of 8.1, Honeywell retained the number-one position, followed by P&WC (7.6), Rolls-Royce (6.9) and Turbomeca (6.4). By turboprop engine model, the TPE331 held the top spot with a score of 8.5, with the top-three positions rounded out by P&WC’s PT6A and PW200-series.
