Geneva-based Global Jet reports receiving several business jets for charter recently as well as it gaining a Chinese air operator certificate (AOC) from the China Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC). The AOC allows operations in China by Global Jet in partnership with Hangzhou-based Jinggong Business Aircraft. Global Jet is exhibiting here at EBACE 2014 in Booth 5555.

Among Global Jet’s new charter aircraft are an Airbus ACJ319, received in January, and more recently a new Dassault Falcon 7X. Said Léonard Bertholet, Global Jet’s charter sales director, “For 2014 we are working for this expansion trend to continue. We are always eager to offer the best aircraft adapted to our customers’ needs.”

Meanwhile, Global Jet is also adding management clients, some of which offer their jets for charter. The company manages nearly 70 business jets now, from the Cessna Citation CJ2 to Gulfstreams, Bombardier Global Expresses and the aforementioned AC319.

“We are working on several projects for our aircraft owners and potential new clients,” said Edouard Lehembre, vice president for aircraft management. “We are also developing our field of action. Asia is one of the new markets we focus on.” In fact, Global Jet’s Asian fleet now stands at five aircraft, a Falcon 2000, a Gulfstream 450, a Falcon 7X, a Global Express XRS and a Global 7000.

Finally, Global Jet’s aircraft sales department benefits from “the know-how we acquired through chartering and managing private jets,” explained Florian van der Cruyssen, aircraft sales director. “With our experience, long-standing relationships with manufacturers, efficient networks and administrative and technical expertise, we assist our clients every step of the way.”
