CCC Cuts VIP IFEs Down to Bizjet Size
U.S. company showcases its new 4K band SkyOne system and Sky-Fi Wireless ICS

Seeking to expand beyond its VIP airliner market, Custom Control Concepts (CCC, Booth 818) of Kent, Washington is showcasing at EBACE 2014 its newly introduced SkyOne inflight entertainment and cabin management system (IFE/CMS) solution and Sky-Fi wireless Internet connection sharing (ICS) system for business jets and helicopters.

Introduced at HeliExpo in February, the SkyOne system is an all-in-one IFE and CMS solution that offers VIP features formerly available only for wide and narrowbody aircraft, including high-definition audio and video on demand, CCC’s SkyShow flight information system, PA integration, cabin shade and other CMS controls, along with camera integration and wireless iPad connectivity for IFE and CMS remotes. SkyOne’s next-generation 4K backbones provide four times the resolution of current 1080 pixel HD.

The Sky-Fi wireless ICS is designed to enhance inflight communications and entertainment on business jets and helicopters. Both systems are scheduled to be certified and released for OEM production in early 2015, said Jason Danforth, CCC’s vice president of business development. CCC’s IFE and CMS are installed on about 150, or half of all VIP airliners, Danforth said.

CCC is showcasing the systems at its EBACE booth, along with its RGBW full-spectrum cabin lighting system and a display of its manufacturing capabilities. This includes CCC’s recently enhanced 3D printing capability, which allows the company to custom print parts from materials certified for aerospace applications.
