Velocity Aerospace Group Acquires EDN Aviation
EDN adds cockpit panel specialization.

EDN Aviation of Van Nuys, Calif., has been acquired by Velocity Aerospace Group. The move expands Velocity’s repair and overhaul service capabilities into control panel services. Founded in 1991, EDN is an FAA- and EASA-approved repair station and carries ISO9001:2000 certification. It specializes in the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of aircraft cockpit panels. EDN also specializes in multi-unit fabrication and engineering/design services for various panel components such as light plates, circuit-breaker panels, control wheels and knobs. EDN will continue to be led by its current management team, including Motti Kurzweil, the company’s president.

Eighty-year-old Burbank, Calif.-based Velocity operates FAA-certified repair stations that offer test, repair and overhaul services for avionics and electronic instrumentation.
