Jetex Flight Support (Chalet A29, A30) opened its full-service FBO for business aircraft here at Dubai World Central/Al Maktoum International Airport last week in a temporary facility. The company is offering a VIP lounge, ground support, fueling, handling and security services. Other amenities include hotel accommodations, catering and limousine services, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi. Customs and immigration services are also available at the FBO.
The flight support firm plans to build a three-story standalone terminal, due for completion in 2015, at the general aviation zone in DWC’s Aviation District, an area that also includes the Dubai Airshow site. Jetex expects to handle approximately 3,500 aircraft movements in 2014.
“Dubai World Central marks the next chapter in Dubai’s development as one of the world’s leading aviation hubs,” said Jetex president and CEO Adel Mardini. “It makes absolute sense for us to be present there and our FBO will continue to set a standard for excellence that our global customers have come to know and expect. They’ll be able to count on the best-trained staff, the best facilities and the best safety standards.”
He said that the new Dubai FBO is just another step in Jetex’s overall strategy to redefine ground handling and FBO quality worldwide. More announcements of new FBOs are expected in the future, Mardini added. Jetex is also still seeking to get a bigger foothold in the U.S. market for international flight planning.
