Aerospace Technologies Group is Celebrating 15 years of Growth

Starting in 1998 with just three employees in a West Palm Beach, Fla., shop, Aerospace Technologies Group (Booth No. N1726) has grown into a major producer of window shade systems for commercial and corporate aviation. One of the key moments in the company's growth came when it became the first supplier of OEM factory-installed electro-mechanical window shade systems for the Boeing 777 and Airbus A330/340 and A380.

In just 15 years the company expanded such that it has had to relocate twice, leaving West Palm Beach for Boyton Beach and finally settling in 2011 into a renovated 64,000-sq-ft building in the Florida Atlantic University Research and Development Park in Boca Raton.

Over the years the company has worked to earn both ISO9001 and AS9100 quality management system approvals, as well as FAA-approved Parts Manufacturer Approval. It is also a tier one supplier for multiple aircraft manufacturers. Today the company has 136 employees and more than $26 million annually in sales and features products for Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Gulfstream, Cessna and Dassault.

“We look forward to being in the forefront for the next 15 years, as we enhance the passenger experience by introducing the latest advances in innovation and design,” said Simon Kay, president and CEO of the company.
