Embraer’s third-quarter numbers were released today, and while deliveries of 25 executive jets are down by four airplanes from the previous quarter, it was a decided improvement over the 13 deliveries recorded in the third quarter last year. In the first nine months, Embraer shipped 66 business jets, 20 more than it did in the same period last year.
A breakout of the models showed deliveries in the just-ended third quarter of six Phenom 100s, 15 Phenom 300s and four Legacy 650s. This compares with handovers of five Phenom 100s, six Phenom 300s, one Legacy 650 and one Lineage 1000 in the same quarter last year.
Including airliners and executive jets, Embraer’s combined firm-order backlog at the end of the third quarter carried a value of $17.8 billion, up significantly from the $12.4 billion recorded on September 30 last year.
