Constant Aviation Completes Citation X Winglet Mod

Constant Aviation has completed its seventh winglet modification on the Citation X. “This is a great solution,” Stephen Maiden, president of Constant Aviation, told AIN. “It provides increased speed at higher altitudes, improved takeoff performance, reduced time-to-climb and increased range and payload.” The modification takes about 45 days to complete and the work is done at the Cleveland facility.

“Year to date, we have completed more than 330 maintenance events specifically on the Citation X. These have ranged from the small routine inspections to the largest Doc 11 inspection, including significant structural and composite repairs. We have focused on the Citation X to become true experts on the airframe by continuously adding skilled technicians and tooling.” The facility has more than 25 Citation X trained technicians.

This year the company added dedicated technical support representatives for the Citation X. “On most maintenance events, we save our Citation X customers an average of 30 percent. We are proud of our structural team for the completion of this extensive modification, which requires more than 1,500 man-hours,” Maiden said.
