Aviation services provider FlightLevel Aviation has signed a five-year lease to run the lone FBO at Cape May County Airport in Wildwood, N.J. The Delaware River and Bay Authority, which owns and manages the airport, ran the FBO on a limited basis for nearly a year after the departure of Big Sky Aviation in 2011. “A quality FBO is critical to an airport because it’s the first thing residents and visitors see when they arrive,” said airport director Steve Williams. “This is especially true in a seasonal resort area like Cape May where so many seasonal residents use personal or corporate aircraft consistently from May through September.”
The airport, sees approximately 80 operations a day, and has 12,000 sq ft of hangar space. The Shell-branded facility has a tank farm that can store 10,000 gallons each of jet-A and 100LL. The 1,900-sq-ft terminal offers passenger and pilot lounges, Wi-Fi, on-site car rental with ramp-side rental car return and personal vehicle access. FlightLevel also operates facilities in Brunswick, Maine; Norwood, Mass.; and Lakeland, Fla.
