Pilatus Receives FAA OK for PC-12 Avionics Upgrade
Pilatus can install the Garmin G600 in all pre-NG PC-12s.

Pilatus Business Aircraft has received an STC from the FAA for installation of Garmin G600 avionics in all pre-NG PC-12 turboprop singles, built between 1994 and 2008. The retrofit brings the modern flat-panel New Perspective system to the older aircraft in the form of a single 10-inch LCD screen that incorporates both the primary flight display and the multifunction display. The suite includes the L-3 Trilogy electronic standby instrument system. Garmin synthetic vision technology, Taws-B terrain alerting and SafeTaxi are standard features.

“We were looking for a way to enable legacy PC-12 owners to realize continued value in their PC-12 investment,” said Pilatus president and CEO Thomas Bosshard. “With this new Garmin G600 avionics suite, they will be able to update their aircraft with many of the features available in today’s aircraft and lower their ongoing maintenance costs.”

Available exclusively through Pilatus sales and service centers, the upgrade carries a suggested base retail price of $179,000, depending on aircraft configuration.
