TAG Aviation STCs Winglet for Falcon 2000 and 900
Repainting the aircraft is part of TAG’s installation of Aviation Partners’ high-Mach blended winglets on the Falcon 2000/2000EX and 900.

TAG Aviation can now help its aircraft maintenance clients benefit from a supplemental type certificate that the European Aviation Safety Agency has granted for installation of high-Mach blended winglets for the Falcon 2000/2000EX and 900. TAG installs the winglets, made by Aviation Partners, at its Geneva Airport facility.

In 2010 Aviation Partners named TAG the first authorized installer of the Falcon 2000-series winglets outside the U.S. The winglet design reduces drag for higher cruise speeds, and reduces fuel consumption, carbon emissions and operating costs while offering a visual enhancement.

“We’d like to highlight that the repaint is part of TAG’s integrated offer with the winglet retrofit,” Philippe Rabier, maintenance sales director for TAG Aviation Europe, told AIN. According to Rabier, the installation for the 2000 and 900 costs between $850,000 and $950,000 depending on aircraft configuration and associated work, and takes about four to five weeks. Operators of Falcon 2000s and 900s with the winglets can expect to see a range increase of up to 260 nm. The FAA granted Aviation Partners authorization for the technology in 2009.
