Amac Aerospace Wins Camo OK

Amac Aerospace has received continuing airworthiness management organization (Camo) certification from the United Arab Emirates’ General Civil Aviation Authority for its Basel, Switzerland cabin completion and maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities.

The approval allows Amac to offer full Camo services on all UAE-registered aircraft. This includes keeping track of and supervising maintenance checks and following up on and implementing regulatory requirements. Amac is only the second company outside the UAE to be granted Camo certification.

In the meantime, Amac is moving forward with plans to expand into single-aisle and widebody bizliner maintenance work. In addition to existing maintenance service approvals for an array of business aircraft, from Bombardier’s Global line to the ACJ318 and Boeing Business Jet, Amac now has EASA Part 145 approval for the Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 747-8 series, complementing heavy large-cabin base maintenance approvals for the Boeing 777, Airbus ACJ330 and ACJ340.
