Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) has received Indonesian approval for the installation of its supplemental type certificate (STC) approved aft jump-seat kits for the Beechcraft King Air 300 and 300C (350).
G.R. Lowe, the company’s president, told AIN, “We do business with Hawker Beech and we already had both U.S. and EASA STCs for our jump seats so we were brought in on a King Air 300 project for Indonesia.” According to Lowe, the jump-seat kit includes all installation hardware, brackets, parts, the seat, full restraint system, life vest, overhead lights, vents, oxygen drop-downs, and installation instructions. It does not include upholstery and paint on the seat frames, but the company offers these as an option.
AvFab has U.S., Brazilian and EASA STC approvals for all 100-, 200-, 300- and 350-series King Airs. Most recently the company added approvals for the King Air C90B, C90GT, C90GTI and C90GTx. With 7,000 of the venerable turboprops built so far, “The King Air jump seat is a good market for us,” Lowe said.
