Gama Grows At Glasgow
The company will add a new executive FBO providing a 17,000-sq-ft hangar capable of sheltering aircraft the size of the Challenger 600 series

International aviation services provider Gama Group has announced a major development project at the UK’s Glasgow Airport. The company will add a new executive FBO providing a 17,000-sq-ft hangar capable of sheltering aircraft the size of the Challenger 600 series, as well as serving as a line maintenance base to complement the company’s engineering facilities in the London area. Gama was recently selected to be the dedicated provider of air ambulance services for the Scottish Air Ambulance service for another seven-year term. As a result the new hangar will also house an air-ambulance King Air.

The development of the new terminal will provide a new tech stop for aircraft transiting between North America and the Middle East in particular, linking the provider’s facility at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey with its new FBO in Sharjah, UAE. “The opening of the Gama Glasgow hangar offices, maintenance facility and executive terminal further underlines our long-term commitment to Scotland and investing in the world-class infrastructure needed to offer our full range of aviation services at the highest level to our client base,” said Tom Wells, Gama’s general manager.
