Quebec City-based Gal Aviation and Mena Aerospace Enterprises of Bahrain have joined to form Galmena. The joint venture, based in Bahrain, provides comprehensive services for corporate aircraft, including executive airliner interior design, refurbishment and installation.
Galmena has signed a service agreement with ExecuJet Middle East, an authorized service provider for the Legacy 600/650, Bombardier, Hawker Beechcraft and the Gulfstream G150 and G200. The two companies are joining forces to deliver cabin interior service. Specifically, Galmena will develop and administer an aviation interior fabrication and refurbishment center for business and VIP aircraft interiors in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and will operate a refurbishment and installation workshop for business and VIP aircraft interiors in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ExecuJet Middle East will provide workshop space in its hangar at Dubai International Airport for a regional satellite center for Galmena’s products and services.
Ralph Eisenschmid, Mena Aerospace CEO, said, “The aircraft interiors sector has been largely underserved in the region. Not only will this venture improve the level of service to aircraft owners and operators, but it will also develop key aviation employment opportunities for nationals through training programs.”
