Lufthansa Technik and Global Aviation Holdings, a provider of passenger and cargo charter, have extended their existing cooperation for Global’s wholly owned subsidiaries, World Airways and North American Airlines.

The two companies have signed a maintenance contract for up to nine World Airways MD-11s and a support contract for North American’s five Boeing 767-300ERs. Both contracts are for five years.

The new maintenance agreement is an extension to an existing support contract for three World Airways 747-400s. The new contract comprises about 800 part numbers. The new support contract with North American, which includes about 1,100 part numbers, is an extension of an existing home base lease contract between the two companies for the Boeing 767 fleet.

Lufthansa Technik will support both from its bases at Tampa International Airport in Florida and Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany.
