Pentastar Aviation has entered into a partnership with Oxford, Conn.-based FBO operator and aircraft charter and management provider Key Air to operate a maintenance facility at Waterbury Oxford Airport (OXC). Based at Oakland County International Airport near Detroit, Pentastar operates a 130,000-sq-ft Part 145 repair station at its FBO and will set up an East Coast repair facility in one of Key Air’s 20,000-sq-ft hangars. “Our managed clients and tenants will directly benefit from having a provider of all levels of maintenance, inspections and installations right here in the Northeast,” said Bob Marinace, Key Air’s president and CEO. The new repair station is scheduled to open next month and will offer preferred maintenance rates to aircraft based at OXC and Key Air’s managed fleet. The discounts will apply for maintenance work performed both there and at Pentastar’s Detroit location.
