Embraer Names Australian Authorized Service Center

John Holland Aviation Services (JHAS) has been appointed an Embraer authorized service center to provide line and heavy maintenance services for E-Jets from its base in Melbourne. JHAS is the first aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul services organization in the Asia-Pacific region to obtain such an authorization from Embraer.

“Embraer has a long-standing relationship with JHAS, as it already provides a number of MRO services to our customers in the country. This agreement reinforces our relationship, and I am certain it will allow us to up the ante in our customer support offerings to our operators down under,” said Alex Glock, Embraer Commercial Aviation vice president for Asia Pacific.

An Embraer spokesman told AIN JHAS is Australia’s largest independent MRO and the only one with comprehensive EASA coverage. Focusing largely on the Asia-Pacific region, JHAS delivers engineering support to both domestic and international airlines, as well as third-party operators. It can also service a wide range of both passenger and military aircraft.
