Jet Aviation Hong Kong recently expanded its offerings to include interior services. With little space available on the airport, the company opted to locate the facility in Tsuen Wan in the Kowloon area of Hong Kong.

“We had to think outside of the box and find the best and most effective way to support our customers. We leased a transport vehicle that goes back and forth from the interior shop to the airport,” a spokeswoman for the MRO told AIN.

According to the company, the new 5,200-sq-ft interior shop is divided into four bays. “Each bay is equipped for a specific specialty. The first is set up for soft goods and leather; the second for foam and carpet work; the third for wood/veneer prepping; and the fourth for spray painting/buffing,” she said.

The MRO is open five days a week and staffed by 47 employees, 13 of whom are certified technicians and three are dedicated to the new interior shop full time.
