Pilots, flight attendants, dispatchers and other AIN subscribers who have frequent interaction with FBOs provided a total of 17,863 evaluations of more than 1,600 FBOs around the world in their responses to AIN’s 2012 FBO Survey. Of these, 115 FBOs in the Americas received the required 30 or more evaluations necessary to be included in the table of ratings available on AINonline.
This year 65 of these 115 North, South and Central American FBOs have overall averages of 8.0 or higher (considered “very good” on a rating scale of one to 10). Even more impressive, nine FBOs have averages of 9.0 or higher, considered “excellent,” and another six were only a tenth of a point away from this distinction.
The nine FBOs rated as excellent in this year’s survey are Pentastar Aviation, Oakland County International (PTK), Mich.; XJet, Centennial (APA), Colo.; AirFlite, Long Beach Dougherty Field (LGB), Calif.; JA Air Center, Aurora Municipal (ARR), Ill.; Tampa International Jet Center, Tampa International (TPA), Fla.; Wilson Air Center, Memphis International (MEM), Tenn.; Global Select, Sugarland Regional (SGR), Texas; Jet Aviation Palm Beach, Palm Beach International (PBI), Fla.; Meridian Teterboro, Teterboro (TEB), N.J; and Banyan Air Center, Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE), Fla.
The report of AIN’s 2012 FBO Survey–The Americas is in the April issue of Aviation International News. The publication’s report of FBOs in the rest of the world will appear in the May issue.
