Mountain Aviation Opens MRO on Centennial Airport
Centennial Airport-based Mountain Aviation has received approval to offer maintenance services.

The Arapahoe County Airport Board of Commissioners has approved Mountain Aviation’s application to offer maintenance services to the public. Based at Metro Airport in Broomfield, Colo., and with operations at XJet at Centennial Airport, Mountain Aviation has had a presence in the area for more than 10 years.

“Increasing our maintenance base at Centennial is crucial to our long-term growth and strengthening our relationship with our partners at the XJet FBO,” said Rich Bjelkevig, the company’s president. The approval allows Mountain Aviation to offer maintenance services at Centennial for aircraft in addition to its own 18-airplane fleet. “As Mountain Aviation grows in the Rocky Mountain region, we’re looking to continue to enhance our maintenance offerings throughout the region to better serve our clients and meet their demand,” Bjelkevig told AIN.

The MRO has technicians factory-trained to work on Gulfstreams, Falcons, Hawkers, Citations, King Airs and Piaggios, and engines made by Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell, Williams and Rolls-Royce. Mountain Aviation was founded in 1993 and has bases in Denver, Eagle and Fort Collins, Colo.; and Boise, Idaho.
