Upgraded Catering, Record-keeping from Aviation Concepts

Guam-based aviation services provider Aviation Concepts (Booth B702) has entered an agreement with the Makat Shangri-La Hotel in Manila for the provision of catering services to its charter customers and owners of aircraft under Aviation Concepts’ management. Under the arrangement, exclusive wine pairings to accompany the catered meals will be chosen by the hotel’s head sommelier, Daniel Blais.

“Aviation Concepts’ clients are assured of premium service when it comes to assistance in the selection of wine, with menus that have been designed to suit their preferences and taste for the finer things in life,” said Aviation Concepts CEO Terry Habeck.

Aviation Concepts also has announced at the ABACE show that it plans to provide V-Log electronic record keeping for all aircraft managed by the company. V-Log–produced by V-Log Inc. of Reno, Nevada–enables electronic backup of all aircraft logbook records, which are essential to track maintenance and document an aircraft’s compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory mandates.

With V-Log, in the event the original logbooks are lost or damaged, all the aircraft’s records can be recreated and used as the original logbooks. V-Log president Larry Hinebaugh noted that the impact of poor or missing records can reduce the value of an aircraft by as much as 30 percent.
