Weinberg & Bell Group (WBG), based in Cleveland, Ohio, has acquired Londonderry, N.H.-based AeroRepair and Hemico for an undisclosed price. Founded in 1994, AeroRepair is an FAA-certified repair station specializing in the repair and overhaul of brake assemblies, wheel assemblies and landing gear for regional airlines, corporate operators and military aircraft. It also manufactures a line of replacement or modified aircraft parts under an FAA PMA certification and maintains a pool of rotable assets and critical aircraft components. Hemico is an FAA-certified manufacturer of replacement aircraft parts, most of which are used by AeroRepair to refurbish brakes, wheels and landing gear.
According to Dan Bell, managing director of Weinberg & Bell, AeroRepair and Hemico are technically two separate companies but are commonly owned and operated out of the same facility. “We purchased both companies and will continue to operate them as separate entities per FAA guidelines for the separation of aircraft repair from aircraft manufacturing operations,” Bell told AIN.
The acquisition represents the third aerospace investment for the principals of WBG, following the sales of Hawk to Carlisle in 2010 and Cargo Airport Services to ICV Capital last year.
