The Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) has opened registration for its 2012 Legislative Day and Repair Symposium, scheduled for March 14 to 16 in Alexandria, Va. Repair station executives, managers, employees and technicians are encouraged to attend the aviation maintenance industry’s premier advocacy, networking, training and educational event.
“ARSA strives to make its symposium the maintenance industry’s premier event. International airlines, manufacturers and repair stations come to learn the latest regulations and guidance from regulatory officials and ARSA’s own staff of experts. A complete picture of the industry is presented, not only regulatory issues, but also commercial, legislative, political and media trends,” Sarah MacLeod, ARSA’s executive director, told AIN. “Attendees meet with members of Congress and learn from top government officials and airline customers while networking with friends and making new connections. With the obstacles constantly challenging a repair station’s business, companies must prepare themselves to succeed in today’s market.”
The March 14 kickoff is Legislative Day, during which attendees will participate in an organized advocacy day on Capitol Hill to remind lawmakers about the important role the industry plays in civil aviation.
